Lead Pipe Replacement – WIAPS Approved

 Lead pipe replacement involves removing the existing shared lead water service and installing a new, independent MDPE supply pipe that meets current water regulations. As a WIAPS‑approved installer, Fair Flow Solutions ensures the work complies fully with Water Industry Regulations, allowing the new supply to be formally recognised by United Utilities.

The process typically includes:

• Excavation from the boundary to the property to expose the existing lead service.
• Installation of a new MDPE pipe (usually 25mm) to provide a safe, compliant water supply.
• Fitting of a termination box and internal stop tap to complete the new service.
• Protection and reinstatement of the excavation route to regulation depth.
• Issuing WIAPS certification, enabling United Utilities to complete the final connection.
